Sisters of St. Joseph - of St. Augustine, FL
2011 Spring Assembly- March 19 - 20

Our Spring Assembly opened with the celebration of Mass on the feast of St. Joseph, March 19. Sister Jane, General Superior, reflected on Jesus' call to the disciples to cast their nets into the water (John 21:1-14) and reminded the congregation of their call to live the essential elements of apostolic religious life. The focus of the Assembly was on refounding and what, in reality, that means for the Sisters of St. Joseph. Refounding is the process of personal and communal conversion initiated in repsonse to God's call to choose life. We gathered at tables for several periods of silent reflection followed by sharing.

Our goals for the next three years is to continue towards refounding through conversion and reconciliation and to develop a "culture of vocations" within the congregation as we seek to assist and support women who may be called to prayer and ministry as Sisters of St. Joseph. See Becoming a Sister for more information on joining us in our mission.
